Dorinda Medley’s lucrative rush of real estate threatened by ‘RHONY’ ax

Page Six is reported to be losing more than just her Bravo salary to Dorinda Medley after she was ousted from the Real Housewives of New York City earlier this week.

We are told that – through her role on “RHONY” – Medley created a particularly sweet real estate department that allowed her to live rent-free in a $ 10,000 a month apartment, while also banking about $ 10,000 a month. According to sources, Medley signed a contract in 2017, a few years after she joined the cast, to live in a three-bedroom apartment in the Tony Oriana building on Sutton Place in exchange for promotion.

At the time, Jennifer Gould of The Post reported that such apartments were rented in the building for $ 9,550- to $ 10,240 per month. And then she put on the Upper East Side condo she has to rent. Gould again reported at the time that the East 87th Street two-bedroom was offered for $ 9,950 a month.

Sources say her team then came up with ways to get the apartment shown in the Bravo show, such as holding Valentine’s and Halloween parties there and making arrangements for the show to get permission to film there. “She did a great job getting attention for the place,” an insider said. “The mortgage company was very happy with it.”

Medley still lives in the building, but the source says they are not aware if, or how, the deal was renegotiated after the first one-year contract was signed. We are told that it was not a condition of the deal – that was mediated by a company called Talent Resources – that it had to be in the show, but she had to show it on social media. The Bravo website also did a video tour of the house earlier this year.

“She’s a very cunning business person,” a source close to the deal added. “She’s very good at using her platform.”

It remains to be seen whether Medley can maintain that kind of public profile after leaving the show. We are told that the same company has done similar deals for Lindsay Lohan and tennis champion Serena Williams.

Talent Resources and a rep for Medley declined to comment.
