Doom Eternal’s first DLC expansion, The Ancient Gods, is coming next month

Doom IvichThe first campaign expansion, The Ancient Gods: Part One, sets off in the hands of a very angry demon on October 20. id Software and Bethesda Softworks have announced and dated the expansion on August 27.

The DLC is part of Doom Ivich‘s $ 29.99 Season One pass (which was included in the luxury edition when the game launched in March). It’s $ 19.99 a la carte and, more importantly, Bethesda said players do not must possess Doom Ivich to buy and play The ancient gods: part one. An independent purchase of The ancient gods: part one gives the buyer access to Battlemode, Doom Ivich‘s 2v1, best-of-five rounds multiplayer match.

The Bethesda news release says players “will face an ancient evil awakened from an imbalance in the sky.” The players of the bad stuff will be subjected to “brand new demons”, the statement said.

The ancient gods was announced two weeks ago at the start of QuakeCon 2020. The ancient gods‘narrative begins immediately after the end of the story campaign. Apparently, the destruction and death of the Doom Slayer during the main game knocked heaven and hell out of balance. So it’s your job to clean up the mess, probably by making it bloodier.

Doom Ivich launched March 20 on Google Stadiums, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Bethesda Softworks said on August 6 that players who have played the game on PS4 or Xbox One can upgrade to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, respectively, for free, following this launch of the consoles.
