Doom Eternal Update 2 adds a new Battlemode map and a mini event

Update 2 for Doom Eternal adds a new Battlemode map, a mini event, a huge list of quality of life improvements, and some more powered demons.
The most significant addition included in the update is a new Battlemode arena. The Torment map is a former outpost that the UAC fled after the Assassin prevented Hell from invading Earth. According to executive producer Marty Stratton, the map “has already become a team favorite.”

A new mini event was also started on Doom Eternal. Castle Grayscale is a new smaller event with tons of free content to unlock. Players can get new black and white skins for Mancubus and Pain Elemental, a vintage nameplate and three new icons. This event ends July 2 and is designed to complete quickly. The main event, “Hack to the Future II” is on the way shortly after Castle Greyscale ends.

More empowered demons have been added to the campaign to provide a greater challenge. Players will encounter empowered demons more frequently. While they are harder to shoot down, they also drop more armor and ammunition when killed. These polished demons will no longer carry names of fallen Slayers players, and only their demon names, according to Id.

Finally, a lot of improvements have been made to the quality of life of the game. Latency has been improved in Battlemode to ensure better matches, with more latency improvements also on the way. The Boosters menu has seen some changes; The lighting has been improved in Photo mode and some other adjustments have been made. You can read the full list of changes here.
