Dominik Mysterio Vs. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins caught the eye of Rey Mysterio last month The horror show by extreme rules, almost blind blinding. This prompted Rey’s son, Dominik, to appear in the July 27 episode of Rau to confront the Messiah Monday. There was a brawl, Murphy tore Aleister Black’s eye in the steel ring steps, and Dominik went berserk on his heels with a kendo stick.

One week later, Rollins commentator Tom Phillips threatened to shout at Dominik during the previous week’s segment. Samoa Joe jumped to the defense of his broadcast partner, and Dominik lured Rollins from behind with another kendo stick attack. Seth was furious and accepted Dominik’s challenge for a match at SummerSlam.

The contract was signed on the August 10 episode of Rau. Rollins said Dominik did not stand a chance in a standard wrestling match against the biggest superstar of this generation, so he SummerSlam match in a Street Fight. That way, Dominik could use that kendo stick to even the odds be somewhat proportionate, and would have no excuse if Seth’s WWE career ends before it even begins.

Murphy and Seth eventually attack Dominik and rip him into shreds with multiple kendo sticks. Dominik’s torso was brutally marked with waves from top to bottom after the beatdown was over.

Rey Mysterio came back to Rau the following week and said he will be in Dominik’s corner during the Street Fight. Rollins responded by saying that the Mysterio name and legacy will end on the ultimate sacrifice SummerSlam. Murphy and Seth came down to the ring for an altercation, and it resulted in the Mysterios that gave Seth a taste of his own medicine.

That’s where things stand again in this Street Fight SummerSlam 2020. Given Dominik’s experience and how everything goes in a Street Fight, it’s reasonable to expect that Rey and Murphy will be heavily involved in this match.

Dominik’s first official match in WWE comes against one of the top stars of the company in the last several years, at one of the prime events of WWE on the calendar.
