Dolphins perform their first practice

The Miami Dolphins are still five days away from their first padded training camp training session, but they took another step in their preparation when they joined all the other teams in the league for their first practice on the field.

The practice came after days of strength and conditioning and throughput, the so-called acclimation period.

The media were not allowed to practice watching on Wednesday, but video posted on social media by the team gave some glimpses into what happened – and most of it was encouraging.

Perhaps the best face wide receiver was Preston Williams making a catch with one hand in the corner of the end zone.

It’s significant because Williams looked like he was going fluent and this was a question mark after he closed his ACL against November last year after his strong start as a rookie-free agent.

And, of course, there was Tua, the recordings released by the Dolphins showed him shooting a strike at Jakeem Grant in the end zone on a deep slope.

Of course, it’s not like the Dolphins would leave images of a goose wild of purpose, but that only after Grant looked an awful lot like many passes that Tua threw during his time at the University of Alabama.

The Dolphins will be back on the field in the coming days with a shot a day away before they begin their padded practices on Monday.
