Dollar Tree, Family Dollar no longer requires customers to wear masks in stores

The recent trend has been for retailers, large and small, to implement facial coverage requirements for their customers and employees, but Dollar Tree and Family Dollar have gone in a different direction by not requiring customers to wear masks while shopping in stores. .

According to the company’s website, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar will now “request” that their clients wear face covers. This is a policy change, as the retailer has just announced that buyers, sellers, and employees must wear face masks.

Now, they will be required only if required by state or local officials.

“In accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are requiring all Associates and vendors to wear face covers when inside our stores,” states the updated retailer policy. “We also request that our clients wear facial coatings and require facial coatings when required to do so by state or local ordinance.”
