One of the most puzzling aspects of the Tom Holland era. Spiderman Movies is the lack of Uncle Ben as seen in the previous movies. Rather than having a physical Uncle Ben nearby to bond with Peter Parker, he presumably died off-camera before the time of the movies.
The MCU that did this was possibly a smart choice after constant iterations of the Spider-Man origin story that always involved Uncle Ben. However, fans want Ben to have some respect in this new franchise.
How will they recognize Uncle Ben once he exists and apparently dies? Some Reddit fans think the MCU is unlikely to ever mention the character other than a few more passes.
How many mentions of Uncle Ben were there so far?
Uncle Ben’s version seen in Tobey Maguire’s version of Spiderman It was so compelling (played by legendary Cliff Robertson), having another actor trying to accomplish that would be a challenge. Not that it was avoided after Martin Sheen portrayed Ben Parker in Andrew Garfield Spiderman films.
Getting Uncle Ben to die twice in two different franchises, not including other variations, was easy to designate as over the top. It can be argued that the fact that the MCU didn’t have Uncle Ben close to Tom Holland was a more insightful way to reinvent the story.
However, some loyalists think it’s a bit disrespectful not to mention Ben. Fortunately, there was mention of him a couple of times in the first two movies of the new trilogy. Most of this happened through Aunt May taking out Ben’s suitcase.
Since May is so much younger than previous incarnations, everyone must assume that Ben Parker was younger than Uncle Ben previously seen. However, how did he die?
Fans want at least a solid mention of Uncle Ben

With Spider man 3 On the agenda for next year, will there be a more substantial mention of Uncle Ben to appease fans? On Reddit, a fan thought more than possible that they would mention him, if perhaps explain how he died.
The original thread launcher also had a good idea on how to tackle this: “I recently thought of a scene in my head that is great. Peter is running away and he’s alone in a warehouse or something, MJ goes to see him and she asks him why and how he became Spider-Man. Peter talks about the death of his uncle and says he was bitten by a spider, etc. “
As all Spider-Man fans know, Uncle Ben originally died from the hand of Flint Marko in the Tobey Maguire films. In the Andrew Garfield movies, Ben was killed by a random criminal who had just robbed a convenience store.
Both demissions were similar, leaving Ben’s death more mysterious in Holland’s movies. Being presumably younger, something tragic must have happened for Aunt May to be widowed at such a young age.
Not having Uncle Ben around paved the way to Tony Stark
Making Tony Stark a substitute for Uncle Ben for Peter Parker was a smarter move by the MCU. This was obviously the real reason Ben was never mentioned so that Parker could bond more solidly with Stark.
Based on how Parker felt about Ben in the previous movies, maybe there was some internal family friction that wasn’t discussed. Most remember when Parker lashed out at Uncle Ben saying he was not his father.
Still, Parker felt intense guilt when Ben was killed. In Tom Holland’s version, that guilt seems to have decreased considerably, making it possible for it to have been a natural rather than a tragic death.
If Parker now has a torch for Stark, perhaps the public will discover that the former was doing the same thing all the time for Ben and just kept it hidden. Or, unless Ben has divorced himself from Aunt May’s life.
