Dodgers’ bullpen troubles in NCLS Game 1 continue with the loss of the Braves

The Dodgers deftly handled the late innings to enter the ninth in a 5-1 defeat against the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Monday night.

Brusder Greatroll needed six pitches to disperse from the sixth jam and Walker Buhler. Victor Gonzalez, another man of color, rushed to the base in the eighth and went on strike to maintain the tie. Manager Dave Roberts was pushing the right buttons. The front button was no longer automatic.

Kenley Jensen has had the ninth inning since the Dodgers started winning the NL West in 2013 every year since last October. But Jensen is no longer close to the Dodgers. His recent struggles have earned him demos, whether Dodgers clearly says so or not.

Instead, high-profit end innings will be distributed on a case-by-case basis. On Monday, Roberts picked the closest, right-handed black trainer in baseball two years ago, with Austin Riley and Ronald Aqua Jr. – and Freddie Freeman – in the ninth inning with two right-handed hitters.

Five pitches came out in the crash. Riley, Atlanta’s No. 9 hitter, landed -88 miles per sinker above the left-center wall in the Globe Life Field to light up half of the first group of fans to take part in the Major League Baseball game in 2020.

Double Aqua forward. After two hardening, Marcel Ozuna sabotaged the RBI singles before Jack McGee was called up. The next two batsmen, Ozzy Elbes Jr. backbreaking two runs scored home runs.

The Braves improved 6-0 in the postseason. The Dodgers took their first loss in about three weeks.

“I think this runs [of batters] “It was really good for Blake,” Roberts said. “He has to do it again. It just couldn’t work. “

The doors to the MLB game opened to fans for the first time since March at 5pm local time. The first participants in the program inside the new ૨ 2.2 billion building entered through the front door of the left-hand wall.

The Braves lined up in the first row of several dozen outfield seats as they practiced batting. They were eager to run the BP home run and they weren’t worried about catching the COVID-19. They made it a mandatory test for MLB rule fans not to fall within 20 feet of any players. Some have players throwing one of them into shagging balls. Most wore masks. Some did not. Others did not wear them properly. Social distance was considered optional.

Those fans dispersed when the Braves finished their season. The first six rows of seats in that section were later vacated. They scattered over the crowded crowd and froze in their horns at a distance from the ball lapark. The MLB announced an attendance of 10,700 and claimed that every ticket to the game had been sold.

“It was shocking to see everyone, at least for now [the] The first few minutes, “said Dodgers second baseman Kiki Hernandez. “It definitely added a little more to the game.”

Leading NL MVP candidate Freeman gave Atlanta fans the first reason for the excitement.

Freeman scored .431 and scored nine home runs against the Fastballs in the regular season. He showed his prowess again in the first inning when he hit a 97-97-mile fastball ball 9૨9 feet to give the Braves two bats in the game. The “MVP” talks serenaded Froman during his tropical time.

“You can’t make mistakes in games like this,” Buhler said.

Buhler was not sharp again because the blister remained an issue. According to a TV broadcast, Buhler had both the index and middle fingers bandaged during the bullpen session on Saturday – not just the index finger where his rash problem was initially encountered. Roberts confirmed that Buhler was dealing with two blisters that “kind of take.”

Buhler established a high career with five walks before the end of the fourth inning. But the brave did not earn. They stuck five runners at the base and went 0 for 4 with the runners in the score position in the first four innings.

Buhler went sixth for the first time since Aug. 21, when his blisters surfaced, but he couldn’t get out. He left after receiving singles for the first two batsmen. It was irregular but struck out seven. He threw 100 pitches, becoming the first Dodgers pitcher to reach a three-digit pitch count in 2020.

“Those are the playoffs, you’re trying to be good, you’re trying to be perfect,” Buhler said. “That’s kind of how the playoffs have affected me.”

Max Fried had six innings cleaner. The Studio City Harvard-Westlake high graduate gave up one run on four hits and two walks. He scored nine runs.

The only costly error on the left was a hanging curve ball that he threw to Hernandez at 0-2 in the fifth inning. Hernandez, starting his first postseason, landed him on the left side wall for a solo home run to tie the game.

Even when the score was on, Atlanta threatened to rally in the eighth inning. Ozuna Dustin led with a double against May. The two batsmen retired before the Dodgers deliberately chose to run Denby Swanson. Pablo Sandoval faced the brave by pinch-hitting. Sit can dip it to load.

The Dodgers then selected Gonzalez to face former Dodger Charlie Culberson. He dismissed him at the most important point of his youth career. Dodgers’ bullpen slipped from there.
