Xiaomi Redmi MAX 98-inch Smart TV MAX – 19,999 yuan of Mi

This absurdly large Xiaomi screen is quite affordable, given its size. The screen is almost as big as a double bed, with visible dimensions of 2190 x 1255 mm. It’s only available in China for now, but check out this space.
Satisfy the Redmi Smart TV MAX, a 98-inch television that comes with its own VIP white glove installation service. Available at 19,999 yuan (around $ 2,800, £ 2,200, AU $ 4,000), this absurdly massive display isn’t actually that expensive.
The next cheapest 98-inch screen on the market is the ViewSonic IFP9850, a touchscreen monitor that costs roughly three times as much.
The bad news is that you cannot currently buy the Redmi Smart TV MAX unless you live in China. However, given the exceptional popularity of this 98-inch set, we wouldn’t be surprised if Xiaomi started selling it in other countries as well.
The TV is roughly equivalent in size to four 50-inch screens placed next to each other, roughly the same proportions as a double bed. The visible dimensions of the screen are 2190 x 1255 mm and the set probably weighs more than 100 kg, making installation difficult.
As for the image, it is a 4K screen with (unsurprisingly) the worst pixel density on the market (45ppi). Covers 85% of the NTSC color space, backed by 192 local dimming zones with direct LED backlight, 60Hz motion estimation and compensation, and other quality tuning technologies.
It has four speakers in total (plus Dolby and DTS decoding), just three HDMI ports, a SPDIF output, and a built-in Android box running on an 8-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of on-board storage.
