When Kamala Harris ran for vice president, President Trump raised tensions between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and his running mate who played out in the primary season.
And when former President Barack Obama delivered his own address during the Democratic convention, the president asked why Obama waited so long to support his former running mate.
“BUT DOESN’T HER A RACIST ???” Trump wrote on Twitter as the third night of the convention concluded with Harris’ remarks. “Didn’t she say he was incompetent ???”
HARRIS CALLS HISTORICAL VP NOMINATION, SAYS ‘THERE IS NO VACCINE FOR RACISM’
‘Why did he refuse to SLOWLY CLOSE, SO THAT IT OVERCOMES EVERYTHING, AND RARELY WHEN? Why did he try not to run him? “Trump wrote when Obama delivered a speech that, in a rare move for the state’s former president, proclaimed his successor by name.
“HE SPEAKS ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GOES!” Trump added later.
Obama did not nominate Biden until April, when he was only assured of the nomination. Bernie Sanders already dropped out of the race and finished Biden. There were reports of tensions between Obama and Biden throughout the campaign trail, with the New York Times telling Obama that Biden told August last year “you don’t have to do this.” One Democrat who spoke with Obama said he told him, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to get things done.”
OBAMA TEES OFF TO SUCCESSOR IN BEING CONVENTION SPEECH
Although Harris did not call Biden ‘a racist’, she condemned the former vice president for bragging about his work with segregationist senators last summer in the wake of primary debates.
Biden demonstrated his ability to ‘get things done’ ten years ago by working with Southern segregatist senators.
“It concerns me deeply,” Harris told Fox Fox in 2019 of Biden’s remarks.
She went on to say, “If these men had their way, I would not be in the United States Senate at the moment and on this elevator.”

Later, Harris made her mark, as of short life, on the primary campaign track in a personal moment, when she called her now-running mate for his past stance against bus driver.
“There was a little girl in California who was part of the second grade to integrate her public schools and she was busted every day after school. That little girl was me,” said Harris, of Indian and Jamaican descent. .
