Electronic DJ Bassnectar, born Lorin Ashton, announced that he is “backing down” from his career after years of allegations of sexual misconduct. This comes after an Instagram page called @EvidenceAgainstBassnectar was created and featured multiple accounts of people alleging allegations of sexual misconduct against the DJ, including some who say they were minors when involved with Ashton.
Bassnectar shared a message on their social media pages, saying: “I am moving away from my career and my position of power and privilege in this community because I want to take responsibility and responsibility.”
