Distribution of more than 11.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, 2.1 million Administration: U.S. CDC


(Reuters) – The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said it had administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the country by Monday morning, delivering 2,127,143 and distributing 11,445,175 doses.

Vaccine doses have been distributed and the number of people receiving the first dose is up to 9:00 a.m. for both Modern and Pfizer / Bioentech, Covid-19 vaccines, the agency said.

The agency delivered 1,944,585 first vaccine doses and distributed 9,547,925 doses, according to a December 26 post.

The agency reported 19,055,869 cases of the new coronavirus, up 145,959 from its previous count, and the death toll rose 1,345 to 332,246.

The CDC has reported several cases of its respiratory illness, known as covid-19, caused by the new coronavirus, a day earlier than its previous report on Sunday at 4 p.m. (Http://bit.ly/33mTSJz)

CDC figures do not necessarily reflect cases reported by individual states.
