This is what we know about the other locations that Aldi has potentially planned.
Buckeye: In 2018, Aldi presented plans to open a grocery store near Watson and Yuma Roads. That location was initially waiting for the distribution center to be built in Goodyear, said Anne DeChance, communications manager for the city of Buckeye. Now, however, she said it is not known when the Buckeye store could open. “We have been told that they are making 5 stores this year, including one at Goodyear, and are planning another 5-7 next year. Good year: In 2017, Aldi purchased approximately 69 acres of land near Indian School Road and Cotton Lane for a distribution warehouse and regional office, said Tammy Vo, spokeswoman for the City of Goodyear. Construction has not started on that project and “that part of the project is still a long way off,” he said. In March 2020, Aldi collected his permits for Goodyear’s location at 845 N. Aldi presented a “tenant improvement” plan to the city related to the training, but it is not a plan large enough to be a training facility, despite another report, a spokesman said.
Unlike other grocery stores, Aldi does not have cafes or in-store pharmacies. It focuses most of its products, almost 90%, on private labels versus national brands, although it does have some national brands in stores.
