Microsoft and Bungie are partnering to bring Destiny 2 to Xbox Game Pass. The original aura the developer will launch Destiny 2 at no additional cost to Xbox Game Pass subscribers in September, and will include access to previous and upcoming expansions Destiny 2: beyond the light DLC
The standard editions of Destiny 2 All DLC will be available, with Destiny 2The season pass is sold separately. Destiny 2’s launch of Bungie on Xbox Game Pass will initially be limited to the console version of the subscription, but Microsoft says it is working to bring this to the PC subscription “later in 2021.”
Bungie recently delayed his Beyond the light expansion to November 10, after it was originally scheduled to launch on September 22. Bungie cited developmental difficulties during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond the light will include a new item called stasis for Destiny 2 Players Stasis is based on time manipulation, and the biggest expansion will be set on Jupiter’s icy moon, Europe.
Bungie also revealed a new trailer for Beyond the light today, demonstrating the freezing effect of stasis. The new subclasses will even work in Destiny 2’s player vs. player environment. The trailer shows a hunter building a frozen wall and then freezing nearby enemies.
Bungie is also optimizing Destiny 2 for the Xbox Series X with 4K resolution running at 60fps, a huge leap over the 30fps version running on Xbox One and Xbox One X right now.
