This means that Bungie will have to extend the current Destiny 2 content season, called Arrival Season, for about two months. The studio will reveal more details about its plans for Beyond Light and Season of Arrivals in the coming weeks.
Beyond Light is set to be an epic addition based on the stories of the original Destination. Bring back The Stranger, a major character in the first game, in a battle against Darkness and a new Fallen foe named Eramis.
It is also the first chapter of a trilogy that will guide Destiny 2 on the next generation of consoles. According to Bungie’s original release timeline, Beyond Light will be followed by The Witch Queen in 2021 and Lightfall in 2022. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will land on this vacation.
