Derrick Henry overrun Rushing Yards to fight Tennessee Titans Houston Texans

The last two seasons have been dominated by low backs running like Derrick Henry. Henry provided further evidence Sunday when he crossed the rushing yards.

During the fourth quarter, on a long drive, Henry reached 227 rushing yards – which was surpassing the target – when the Titans fought the Houston Texans.

Henry is the eighth player from the 2,000-rushing-yards club to be joined by Oj Simpson, Eric Dickerson, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis, Jamal Lewis, Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson. The Titans are the only NFL franchise to have two players who have run for 2,000 yards in a single season.

Peterson was last to do so when he scored 2,097 in 2012.

“It’s definitely showing that it’s the next best thing. When you’re Derrick Henry, the teams are coming in and they’re focused on stopping you. That’s what makes it more impressive out there,” Petersen said last month. .

Henry is the first player to post more than 200 rushing yards three times in a season and two touchdowns in a game. The 6-foot-3, 247-pound trail was joined by Davis who scored at least 1,900 racing yards and 15 racing touchdowns this season. Henry will end up as the Triple Crown winner in the racing category, leading to running backs in racing yards, touchdowns (17) and attempts.

Henry had more than 200 rushing yards for the third game in a row against the Texans, making him the only player in NFL history. He also joined Tiki Barber (New York Giants 2005, 2006), as the only NFL player to finish in back-to-back season finals with 200-yard running backs.
