A lawmaker accepted a police warning after an incident in which officers were called to his home last month.
Jonathan Edwards, 44, was arrested on May 20 on suspicion of assault.
In a statement, Rep. Carmarthen East and Dinefwr, since being suspended by Plaid Cymru, said he was “deeply sorry” and that it was “the biggest regret” of his life.
His wife, Emma, also released a statement, saying that “she accepted her husband’s apology.”
Edwards has referred to Plaid Cymru’s internal disciplinary committee and has been suspended from the game.
