Demon’s Souls for PS5 is rated in Korea, could be a launch title

Bluepoint’s Demon’s Souls remake for PS5 might come sooner than originally expected, thanks to a new review for the game.

The starting lineup for the PS5 is still a bit expensive. Other than Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we do not know of many other PS5-exclusive titles that will be released later this year in the vicinity of next-gen hardware. Thanks to a new review for an upcoming PS5 title, we might now have a better idea of what to expect in 2020.

Initially spotted by Gematsu, the PS5 remake of Demon’s souls of Bluepoint Games has apparently been reviewed in Korea. The review also went well recently, and it received a designation a week ago today, August 13th.

So why does this even matter a bit? ‘It’s just a game appreciation, after all,’ you might say to yourself. Well, seeing the fact that Demon’s souls is currently being reviewed in Korea, may indicate the fact that the game is set to launch later this year.

So far, the only other game that has been rated for PS5 in Korea is that of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is set to arrive later in 2020. As Demon’s souls now also receiving its rating, it may very well depend on the game that comes near Miles Morales and could end up as a PS5 launch title.

Of course, Sony has not confirmed this once yet, so let’s not go ahead. The reveal trailer for Demon’s souls even did not even show a wide release window, which led me to initially believe that the game might still be a bit far out. Plus, seeing this is a remake of an older game, maybe the Korean rating board can slap exactly the same rating on the game that had its original version.

Whatever the case, I will cross my own fingers there Demon’s souls will launch on PS5 later this year. Everything we’ve seen there so far looks stellar and I would absolutely snag a PS5 on day one to run through the latest Bluepoint remake.
