Delta passengers take the dog off the plane in an emergency slide

A man, a woman and their service dog used an emergency slide to exit a plane preparing to take off from Lagarde Airport on Monday morning.

Passengers opened the cabin door, activating the slide, according to law enforcement sources and an aircraft spokesman.

Antonio Murdoch, 1, told the Port Authority that he had developed post-traumatic stress disorder on the plane, sources said.

He and his female partner, 23-year-old Brina Greco, were arrested in the incident.

Brian Plummer, who was also on Flight 462, told The New York Times that he often found his pair and their pitch-changing seats while the plane was about to depart.

After that, the man shot from his seat, telling the flight attendant that he could not sit because of his post-traumatic stress disorder.

“If I sit down, I’ll be shameless outside,” the man said, according to Plummer.

Sources said both Murdock and the Greeks in Florida were charged with criminal injustice, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and obstruction of government administration.

No one was injured in the incident.

The plane was scheduled to take off at 10 a.m., it returned to the gate, where the remaining passengers were put on another flight, an airline spokesman said.

He added in the statement that the maintenance technician has evaluated the aircraft and is due to return to service this evening.
