The Apple Play has given a small but significant tweak to the M But Kabuk Air keyboard with its transition to Apple Pull silicon processors. The function row on the MBKbook Air keyboard now has dedicated keys for Not Disturb, Dictation and Spotlight.
Three new keys will replace the launchpad and keyboard brightness control in the function row. Instead, you will now have to rely on the new Control Center in MacOS Big Sur to adjust the keyboard backlighting brightness. Removing the launchpad key is unlikely to affect many users, but can be of little use in changing the keyboard brightness.
Another change you’ll see on the Kabuk Air keyboard is that there’s a dedicated emoji globe icon on the function key at the bottom left.
Of course, the new Apple Plus Silicon MBBook Pro doesn’t have these new function keys, as it includes a touch bar instead of a function row. The new MyBook Pro, however, will add an emoji globe icon to the function key.
The new Mabook Air is powered by Apple’s M1 processor and has the same design as most previous Intel powered machines. It starts at $ 999 and is available for ordering from Apple today, with the first order coming next week on November 17th.
