Death Stranding PC is like a movie compared to the TV Drama PS4 version, says Kojima Productions

Death Stranding PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Death Stranding is implemented today on PC, and Kojima Productions has been promoting the relaunch in an interview with Geoff Keighley. Speaking as part of the broadcast, Yoji Shinkawa of Kojima Productions pointed to the improvements the developer has made since launching the title on PlayStation 4 last year, with widescreen support being one of the biggest updates.

“Of course, compared to the PS4 version, the resolution and frame rate have been updated,” he explained. “But the biggest surprise I think people will get is that we support the 21: 9 ultra-wide screen, and this is surely expanding the horizontal perspective for [improve] the immersion and the presence with it. “

Shinkawa added that the wider field of view actually leads to improvements in the game, as you can “see more enemies and also find where you want to go.” He added that the new widescreen format also applies to scenes: “I could say that you are watching a TV drama in the previous game, but this time in the PC version it is more, you have the impression that you are watching a movie at the cinema “.

It will be interesting to see if any of these improvements finally make it to the PlayStation 5; after all, this is still a project published by Sony. There is no news about that at the moment, but don’t be surprised if we receive news about the Japanese giant’s plans for PS4 to PS5 updates in the near future.
