DC Police are investigating the death of Young Maryland President President Maryland


Washington, police are investigating the death of the president of the Young Democrats of Maryland after he was found dead in the District more than a week after Maryland police said he was missing.

Prince George’s Police said Sunday Joseph Kitchen, 34, was found dead in DC. Police said he was last seen at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis on Aug. 8.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington confirmed the department is leading the investigation into Kitchen’s death.

The Young Democrats of America and the Maryland Democratic Party showed sympathy Saturday after police announced that Kitchen was found dead.

“We are saddened to learn of the tragic and untimely passing of Joseph Kitchen,” tweeted Young Democrats of America. “Joseph always pushed YDA to fulfill his values ​​and was one who was not satisfied with accepting the status quo. His passion will be deeply missed. We express our deepest sympathies. ”
