Live updates:
10:45 pm – Kaidon SalterTennessee’s engagement remained stable throughout the night. She hit big on the run and out of numbers and kept a tight spiral more than not. He looked much more comfortable taking drops and working on their release than the night before.
10:36 pm – Carlos del rio, Florida’s Commitment, set the tone from its first pitches and its precision and timing never decreased in nearly 20 pitches. He was precise in all three levels and his speed never decreased despite being one of the final acts of the night.
10:26 pm – Brock VandagriffGeorgia’s engagement started as well as any passerby tonight. She was especially strong on the field with great timing and constant speed. Towards the end of the training it decreased a bit from the point of view of precision.
10:15 pm – Garrett NussmeierLSU’s commitment got hot and stayed that way toward the end of training. The deepest and most external shots, in particular, were the main strengths. He and Williams reached 10 high score marks throughout their workouts.
10:07 pm – Maddox KoppWithout committing, he shone more on balls beyond 25 yards, as he did on Monday by winning the lane shooting competition. He also found more consistency in the intermission than the first day of action. It looks like it won’t be without a Power Five offer much longer.
9:57 pm – Caleb WilliamsWithout compromise, he really caught on as the training progressed. He was especially efficient to his right and displayed that signature arm strength and speed in the routine. With the exception of the routes to his left, it was another relative clinic.
9:42 pm – Jay Allen, committed to Florida for baseball, sped up the intermediate game halfway through the job. The deep balls were not quite there.
9:34 pm – Luke AltmyerThe State of Florida pledge made a strong statement with its 7 courts on either side of the field facing an audible reaction. The live arm is always on display, but sometimes it can also fail high.
9:25 pm – Miller Moss, Commitment of the USC, showed his elite anticipation and the placement of the ball more times than not. Arm strength is not as consistent on the field, but few have seen better in the middle game. He is the first passerby to hit the seemingly simple swing path calmly.
9:16 pm – Tyler BuchnerNotre Dame’s commitment began in a very similar way to where it left off yesterday, with room for improvement. His timing looked better as training progressed and he followed intermediate precision.
8:52 pm – Dematrius DavisAuburn’s engagement was sharp with his time and anticipation throughout the training. Accuracy was a bit sporadic, but it felt more comfortable out of pocket.
8:42 pm – Drake mayeNorth Carolina’s engagement started hot and remained relatively consistent throughout training. Her deep balls were solid despite somewhat slow trends. The time was not up to the best even though the arm talent was there. Closed very well.
8:34 pm – Behren MortonTexas Tech’s engagement struggled outside the door, but he collected one of the best deep balls in some reps. His travels away while on a line, while most allowed more air in the field. A short to intermediate upgrade is needed.
8:26 pm – Ty ThompsonOregon’s engagement was sharp in the interim attempts. When the wind picked up, it didn’t hit his ball as much as others. Arching through the field and on time in the foreground, it was another good night of work for the future Duck.
8:18 pm – Kyron Drones, Baylor’s Pledge, mesmerized with some of his deep balls, including the script’s longest cast (7 cuts). When you drive the ball, few spirals appear as tight as yours.
8:10 pm – Kyle McCordThe Ohio State Engagement started from top to bottom, but it really caught fire while navigating the midpoint of the script. She was late several times, but found consistency in the exit routes and at the third level.
8:00 pm – Christian VeilleuxPenn State’s engagement worked well to his left with good second-level power and precision. He was up and down on the deepest level and missed some gimmes.
7:50 pm – Tyler MaconMissouri compromise is up and down in the short game, but sticks in the longer cuts. Cutting 7 in any direction was as successful as possible.
7:41 pm – Grayson JamesWithout compromising, he fought directly through the doors. Arm strength was there, but precision wasn’t until the last pitches of training. Outside of the pocket passes they were more in line.
7:32 pm – JJ McCarthyMichigan’s engagement was the first competitor through the professional day among high school prospects. She set a solid tone, excelling on intermediate and moving routes.
7:25 pm – Counselors are involved in their versions of professional day training. Trey Lance (NDSU), Justin Fields (Ohio state) and KJ Kostello (Miss. State) analyzed it. Jamie Newman (Georgia) did not.
6:55 pm – Light rain begins to fall here at Oakland High School when counselor KJ Kostello (Mississippi state) shoots routes into the air.
6:45 pm – A select group of passersby are warming up on the field before the professional day. Ty Thompson (Oregon), Demetrius Davis (Auburn), Tyler Macon (Missouri), Christian Veilleux (Penn State) between competitions in the starting group.
