Dax Shepard will undergo surgery after motorcycle accident

Dax Shepard said he needed surgery after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, the recent incident detailed Monday on his podcast “Armchair Expert.”

“I passed six boys at Sonoma Raceway on a motorcycle, and I broke very, very hard. Hard enough that the rear wheel was off the ground, I think, 100 meters, and then someone turned them in – as they were entitled to, “the 45-year-old actor explained.

“I was completely to blame,” he continued. “I thought I could slip in between, but one turned her in and I was already under a lot of brakes and I couldn’t go any further.”

Shepard said he then “bumper her and [he] went over the steering wheel, ‘landing’ pretty hard. ‘

Although Shepard went back on track for “two more sessions,” it was “too painful by the end.” On Monday, Shepard was checked at the hospital, where he learned what damage had been done.

‘I’ve been in the hospital seven hours today. And the final count was four broken ribs, the collarbone is broken in three places and I need surgery. And then I broke my hand that I broke a few months ago, ”confirmed Shepard, who broke his hand in an ATV accident earlier this year.

Shepard added that despite the dire ordeal, he does not think he will “stop” permanently, but “may be ready to quit for the rest of 2020.”

On Wednesday, Shepard thanked fans for their support on Instagram, and also showed off his injury in a shirtless selfie.

“Thank you Armcherries for all the well-being and care. I’m in one piece and spirits are high 🙂 Sorry for worrying, ‘he wrote the shot, with also Mrs. Kristen Bell in the background.

“Lol clock in the background,” replied Whitney Cummings, to which Bell, 40, replied, “@whitneycummings just politely shook my head at his nonsense …”

Bell and Shepard have been married since 2013 and share two daughters: Delta, 5, and Lincoln, 7.
