‘Danger!’ and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ to resume filming with established security measures

“Danger!” and “Wheel of Fortune”, like much of Hollywood, had stopped production due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday, a spokeswoman for Sony Pictures Television confirmed to CNN that the the shows will resume production.

“Wheel of Fortune and JEOPARDY! They are returning to the studio to record episodes for the upcoming seasons of the shows,” the studio’s spokeswoman said in a statement provided to CNN. “The productions have protocols established in accordance with current government guidelines to protect contestants, staff, crew and talent from the spread of COVID-19.”

Alex Trebek (jokingly) suggests his Jeopardy successor: Betty White

“While some things may have changed behind the scenes and on set to keep everyone safe, fans can expect to see the same Wheel of Fortune and JEOPARDIA! They’ve fallen in love when the season begins,” the statement said.

“Danger!” It is hosted by Alex Trebek, 80, and ‘Wheel of Fortune “is hosted by Pat Sajak, 73, assisted by Vanna White, 63, who turns the cards over.

Trebek has been battling pancreatic cancer since last year and in March he said he is beating the odds.
The deadline reported that the sets have been redesigned to keep contestants socially away from each other at the wheel during the game “Wheel of Fortune” and that “Jeopardy!” Podiums will also keep contestants at a safe distance from each other.

Contestants will also be socially distant from the hosts on both shows.
