‘Dancing with the Stars’ fires welcome Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews

“Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron said on Twitter on Monday that he will not be returning to the show this fall.

Bergeron said he was “only informed” that the show “will go on without me.”

According to Newsweek, ABC and BBC Studios released a joint statement confirming that Bergeron and Andrews had been fired.

“Tom Bergeron will always be part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he leaves the program with our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for his characteristic wit and charm that helped make this program a success.

Erin won’t be back either, and we appreciate everything she brought to the ballroom. Fans have supported her since she originally competed as a contestant in 2010, and her sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show. “

Andrews joined the show in 2014 after taking third place on the show in 2010. She is the fourth woman to co-host with Bergeron.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs on Mondays on NBC. The judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. Tonioli has indicated that he will return.

According to Newsweek, there is no release date for the show’s 29th season yet. The spring season was canceled due to the coronavirus. The next group of contestants has not been announced.
