According to Dana White, UFC Fight Island will begin hosting events the weekend of July 11. The inaugural event on the Island will be UFC 251, a pay-per-event bout card with three title fights.
At the headlining event, reigning UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will put his title on the line against rising division contender Gilbert Burns.
In the main event of the night, Alexander Volkanovski will attempt to defend his featherweight title for the first time when he rematches Max Holloway.
Also featured on the UFC 251 main card is a bantamweight title fight between Petr Yan and José Aldo.
As Dana White noted, UFC Fight Island will continue to host fight cards for promotion after UFC 251.
Three additional events are scheduled on the island on July 15, 18 and 25.
