If you thought nothing could be cataclysmic then Kevin and Randall’s no-holds-barred emotional brawl this spring This is us season fourth finale, well, that may still be true (it was a cruel sibling fight!) but just barely. That’s what we assume, however, now that creator Dan Fogelman has confirmed the hit NBC sitcom will, in fact, take over the coronavirus pandemic in the show’s fifth season.
“Yes on Covid,” Fogelman tweeted on Sunday in response to questions from a fan. ‘We have decided to attack things. Very proud of @ThisIsUsWriters. “Despite the new global pandemic, however, he says the show remains its previously established narrative course:” The same planned ending. Same route to get in. ”
Viewers will probably have to wait a while to figure out how the series will handle the pandemic, though, as Fogelman also tweeted that the show has not set a return date for production or for the new season in the air. If so, plan on your masks that you are absolutely awake from tears.
