Let’s take a look at the top 10 of the new Hot 100, which combines sales data, live radio, and radio streaming for all genres in the US All charts (dated July 18) will be updated on Billboard.com tomorrow (14 of July).
Released on SouthCoast / Interscope Records, “Rockstar” features an eighth week at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, with 42.4 million streams in the United States, down 3%, in the week ending July 9, according to Nielsen Music / MRC Data. It goes up 3-2 in sales of digital songs, although with a decrease of 16% to 13,000 sold in the same period. On Radio Songs, it increases 10-5 with 54.2 million airplay audience impressions, up 17%, in the week ending July 12, good for Airplay Gainer’s top honors in the Hot 100.
In particular, Roddy Ricch boasts the top two No. 1 Hot 100s of 2020 (spanning 12 total No. 1 so far this year: 10 who have spent their first few weeks on top since January and two who led by first time in 2019). Before the five-week reign of “Rockstar,” Roddy Ricch’s solo hit “The Box” dominated for 11 weeks; “Rockstar” comes out of a tie for second with four-week leader “Blinding Lights” from The Weeknd.
“Rockstar” simultaneously rules the Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which use the same multimetric formula as the Hot 100, for the fifth week each.
The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” rise 3-2 on the Hot 100. It hosts Radio Songs for a 14th week (77.3 million, essentially even week after week), tying for the fifth longest command since the list began in December from 1990 Here’s a rundown of the oldest number 1 radio songs:

“Blinding Lights” led the Hot R&B Songs multimetric chart for a week 17, moving on to three frames to match the longest No. 1 race on that list, which began in October 2012. The Weeknd’s own “Starboy” starring Daft Punk , shares the record of 20 weeks at n. ° 1 (in 2016-17) with “What’s What I Like” (2017) by Bruno Mars and “One Dance” by Drake, with WizKid and Kyla (2016).
Jack Harlow’s “Whats Poppin”, featuring DaBaby, Tory Lanez and Lil Wayne, drops to No. 3 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 2 a week ago; Former Megan Thee Stallion week-long leader “Savage” with Beyoncé is ranked # 4; and SAINt JHN’s “Roses” remains at number 5, after reaching number 4.
The late rapper Pop Smoke appears in the top 10 of the Hot 100 for the first time, as “For the Night”, with Lil Baby and DaBaby, debuting at number 6. The song is from Pop Smoke’s first feature film, Shoot the stars Aim for the moon, which is positioned at number 1 on the Billboard 200. The track reaches number 2 in Streaming Songs (27.6 million) and number 18 in Digital Song Sales (5,000).
With the song, Lil Baby adds her fifth Hot 100 top 10 and DaBaby wins the fourth.
Meanwhile, DaBaby is ranked in three of the top six places in the Hot 100, thanks to “Rockstar” (No. 1), “Whats Poppin” (No. 3), and “For the Night” (No. 6). It becomes the seventh act in the almost 62-year history of the Hot 100 to have mapped at least three songs in the top six places simultaneously, after The Beatles (who did it for nine weeks in 1964), 50 Cent (seven, 2005), Drake (six, 2018), Justin Bieber (five, 2015-16), Ariana Grande (one week, 2019) and Usher (one, 2004). DaBaby is the first artist to win the honor since Grande, who took the top three on February 23, 2019 (becoming the second act, after The Beatles, in 1964, to collect a triple at the top).
The news of Pop Smoke’s new successes follows the July 9 arrests of five people in connection with their murder on February 19. The Brooklyn artist (real name: Bashar Barakah Jackson) died, at age 20, at his Hollywood Hills home from a gunshot wound after suspects in masks entered the residence and shot him.
Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” hits a new Hot 100 high (8-7), while Lil Mosey’s “Blueberry Faygo” also amounts to a new best (9-8). Completing the top 10, Doja Cat’s ex-week No. 1 “Say So” drops 6-9 and Justin Bieber’s “Intentions”, with Quavo, slides 7-10, after reaching No. 5.
