DaBaby’s ‘Rockstar’ No. 1 on Hot 100 for the sixth week, Juice WRLD becomes the third act with five songs in the Top 10 simultaneously

Juice WRLD joins Drake and The Beatles as the only acts that occupy half of the top 10 at once.

DaBaby’s “Rockstar”, with Roddy Ricch, records a sixth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the late Juice WRLD historically joins the company exclusively in the top 10.

Juice WRLD lands five songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100, matching Drake and The Beatles as the only acts to claim at least half of the region in a single week. All five tracks are from her LP Legends never die, which is launched at n. # 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with the largest week, in terms of equivalent album units, of 2020.

Juice WRLD died at age 21 on December 8, 2019, and the cause of death was announced in January.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 of the new Hot 100, which combines sales data, live radio, and radio streaming for all genres in the US All charts (dated July 25) will be updated on Billboard.com tomorrow ( July 21).

Rockstar rules: “Rockstar”, released on SouthCoast / Interscope Records, drops to No. 2 on the Streaming Songs chart, after eight weeks at No. 1, with 39 million streams in the United States, down 8%, in the week ending. on July 16, according to Nielsen Music Facts / MRC. It falls 2-3 in sales of digital songs, with 11,000 sold, 16% less, in the same period. On Radio Songs, it increases 5-3 with 59 million audience impressions on-air, up 9%, in the week ending July 19.

“Rockstar” simultaneously rules the Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which use the same multimetric formula as the Hot 100, for the sixth week each.

Juice WRLD has half of the Top 10 Hot 100: Juice WRLD submits five songs to the Top 10 of the Hot 100, led by “Come & Go”, with Marshmello making a debut at number 2. Three other tracks make the list at the top level: “Wishing Well” at number 5 ; “Conversations”, in n. ° 7; and “Hate the Other Side”, also with Marshmello and Polo G and The Kid LAROI, at number 10. In addition, “Life’s a Mess”, with Halsey, jumps from number 74 to number 9 in her second week on the chart. .

With those five innings, Juice WRLD becomes the third act with at least five songs in the top 10 simultaneously in the 62-year history of the Hot 100. Drake recorded a record seven songs in the top 10 on July 14, 2018 , while The Beatles published five each on April 4 and 11, 1964; In the list above, the group infused the top five, a feat that has yet to be repeated.

Top 10 totals: The Juice WRLD count of the Hot 100 top 10 increases to eight, as he previously came to the region with “Lucid Dreams” (No. 2 peak, October 2018); “Bandit” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again (No. 10, October 2019); and Eminem’s “Godzilla” with Juice WRLD (No. 3). Juice WRLD, therefore, ties their best Hot 100 rank, as “Come & Go” matches the maximum of “Lucid Dreams”.

Marshmello adds his second Top 100 Hot 10 through “Come & Go”, in the same way that he ties his upper rank, after “Happier”, with Bastille, reached number 2 in February 2019.

“Life’s a Mess” marks the sixth Top 10 of Halsey’s Top 100, while “Hate the Other Side” brings Polo G and The Kid LAROI their first trip each to the stand.

Lil Wayne sent four songs to the list in the top 10 on October 13, 2018, after Drake first released a quartet of top 10 titles on July 14, 2018.

No. 1 in streaming: “Come & Go” opens on Streaming Songs, becoming Juice WRLD’s third leader (after “Lucid Dreams” and “Bandit”) and Marshmello’s first, recording 36.4 million broadcasts in the follow-up week. (Note that while that sum is less than $ 39 million for “Rockstar,” the former sits at No. 1 on Streaming Songs and the latter at No. 2 due to paid subscription weighting application, with advertising and scheduled streams.) In Digital Song Sales, “Come & Go” opens at number 2, with 12,000 sold.

Republic also recorded six top 10s on the charts dated May 18, 2019; October 13, 2018; and on July 28, 2018, the most since the label earned seven, all by Drake, on July 14, 2018.
