Cyberpunk 2077 Finally here, and gamers can make the long-awaited trip to their Night City. Unfortunately, despite years of years in CD Project Red’s RPG production, it has been plagued by a number of bugs and obstacles that have made players the first metal in the cozy metropolitan area.
It seems that, no matter what platform players choose to start their journey, they are running into problems. Simply put, things don’t look so hot.
Various reports have been circulating about the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC’s status since the game’s first launch on November 10, as it can only be described as a mixed-up hot mess, with minor annoyances in terms of obstacles. Annoyingly outrageous players like the frustrating Chopali frame rate for game-breaking bugs.
PC users are also dealing with their own difficult issues. According to Wccftech, But the RTX 3090 GPU is not capable of hitting an average of 60 fps at 4K resolution with maximum graphics settings. While using Nvidia’s own DLSS tech in game performance mode, the RTX 3090 was able to perform at an average of just 57.8 fps. Without DLSS, it came down to a disgusting 22 fps. This, together with the issues that the players have seen in the platform has made a highly relevant debut.
In addition, there are already problems with the game’s special in-game setting that was created to turn off any copyrighted music to protect Twitch Streamers from potential DMCA takedowns. As a workspace, CD Project RED is advising streamers to completely mute the music instead of potentially achieving a takedown by apologizing for “any inconvenience”. Given that music is a big part of Cyberpunk 2077, this is more than a little annoying.
It has come to our notice that there are additional instances in the game that could bring a DMCA strike on your channel. The fix is on the way but until then, we’ll ask you to completely mute the music in the game settings. We are very sorry for any inconvenience. https://t.co/SS0yhyPrMoDecember 10, 2020
Oddly enough, like outlets Edge Report that the Google Stadia version of the game, which streams through Google’s servers, may be the best way to play the game right now, excluding gamers it is not the latest and greatest PC GPU or console. Cloud gaming looks good on Night City, The Verge said they have had a positive experience, noting that it also “runs smoothly” on Wi-Fi.
On the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game seems to be handling itself well, for the main list of bugs, however, there is technically no new-fangled version of the game yet. Still, those versions, with similar issues like the PC version here and there, are barely getting Scott-free.
It’s the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions that give everyone a break. Eurogamer The PS4 version suffers from low framerate and texture pop-ins when the screen is busy, as well as blurring low-resolution visuals on certain random occasions. This causes characters locked in T-Pose, with assets to disappear, and random resolution drops to be played on the last-generation console, rather than a few disappointments.
Looks like the list of frustrations continues, no matter which platform you choose to play on. Although CD Project Red initially deployed a one-day patch, it doesn’t seem to address most of the issues. We’ll have to wait and see what happens as the days go by and the crop of additional problems will grow – with the launch of Cyberpunk the CDPR will have to keep pushing for additional fixes.
