It only seems like you have to wait until 2077 for Cyberpunk 2077, thanks to a few delays, but CD Project pinkie promises that it’s coming in November, and if it’s not, then this video highlighting the three “lifepaths” is a cruel tease for gamers.
There are the Street Kid, Nomad and Corpo. They are all suitable back stories for your grim star of the show, V. Street Kid is your classic up-from-nothing hoodlum in Night City; born here, live here, die here, get beaten up here by the police. Street Kid is crazy as hell and will not take it anymore.
Nomad is your high-flat drifter type, an outcast from the desert who, for some family reason, goes to the big bad city. This is similar to most Mad-Maxy template, for those who are in that environment for their role play.
Finally, there’s Corpo, a typical one percent technocrat tool that either gets religion or opposes everything, including control over what Arasaka is. (It’s a global mega-corporation and the largest distributor of Japanese merchandise in the west. Read for yourself.) Corpo seems the least heroic of the three anti-heroes.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches November 19 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One, with versions to follow later on Google Stages (by the end of the year), and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (2021).
