New York Governor Andrew Cuomo shot CNN presenter Jake Tapper for criticism of a poster the Democrat made promoting the state’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.
On Monday, Cuomo was heavily criticized after debuting in a poster he designed called “New York Tough” that suggested capturing the journey his state went through while boarding COVID-19.
The next day, however, Tapper criticized the governor for his “victory tour.”
“New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo appears to be on a victory tour congratulating the state and himself for defeating the virus,” Tapper began before pointing to the poster full of “inside jokes” that Cuomo is selling.

“There are no illustrations, however, of the more than 32,000 New Yorkers killed, the highest death toll in any state. On Thursday, during a CNN phone interview, Cuomo was asked about the poster that “celebrated” New York’s response to the virus, but declined, insisting that “he was not celebrating anything.”
“That was Mr. Tapper’s misinterpretation and his own political interpretation, which everyone is allowed,” Cuomo told CNN presenter Kate Bolduan. “What we are saying is that New Yorkers stepped forward and flattened the curve. That’s a fact. The people of New York were unified, the people of New York were disciplined, they helped each other and they did it.” it went from the worst infection rate in the country to the best, to the lowest. Bolduan then pressured the governor, echoing Tapper’s criticism that the cartel does not mention that there were “more deaths than any other state.”
“Do you think the poster was a mistake in the middle of all this?” Bolduan asked?
“No,” Cuomo replied. “Tapper’s point, as you just heard in the CDC report, Tapper should say that Trump is to blame for the virus reaching New York because it is the fact. That is what the CDC just said. If the Trump administration did its job, the virus did not “I did not come here … The virus did not come here for anything New Yorkers did, the virus came here because the federal government missed it.”

Tapper responded to Cuomo’s criticism by inviting him to attend his shows Monday through Friday and weekly.
The presenter also clarified, “I think it’s obvious he was talking about New York leaders, not my dear New York friends; and I certainly have also pointed to Trump’s failures in this pandemic!”
The poster shows a mountain with essential workers pulling a rope symbolizing how the state flattened the curve.

At the top of the poster is a quote attributed to the Governor: “Wake up America! Forget politics, be smart!”
The poster features an airplane with “Europeans”, “COVID-19”, “Jan-Mar” and “3 million” on it, suggesting that the virus mainly comes from trips flying in from Europe instead of China, where it is the illness. it is believed to have originated.
Masks are also seen on the poster and President Trump sitting on a crescent moon saying, “It’s just the flu.”
The poster costs $ 14.50 plus shipping and handling and has a disclaimer that says, “New York State does not profit from the sale of this poster.”

Cuomo’s poster was criticized on social media.
The Associated Press reported last week that “New York hospitals released more than 6,300 coronavirus patients recovering in nursing homes during the height” of the coronavirus pandemic under a “controversial policy, now ruled out.”
