Crysis Remastered absolutely runs on Nintendo Switch, and it looks like this

Crytek and Nintendo have released a short video that shows how Crysis remastered It works on the Nintendo Switch, giving us our first look at a technological marvel that may still disappoint fans of the original.

You can see the game in action at the top of this post, and I’m not sure how Crytek managed to extract so much from Nintendo’s hardware. The switch can, in fact, run Crysis, as the old joke says.

But Crysis It was always a game that relied heavily on its images to wow its audience, and it can’t be escaped that the Crysis Remastered Switch port is going to be the worst-looking version of the game, comparatively speaking.

Still, achieving this type of lighting and performance on the Switch is its own kind of magic trick, even if we see that both are performed in a scene that limits your vision in this example:

Therefore Crysis remastered on Nintendo Switch it’s such an interesting contradiction. It is the worst-looking version of a game that caused a sensation due to its visual effects, but it is nevertheless an incredible artistic achievement that is running is good on hardware so limited in power.

It is also the only laptop way to play Crysis remastered, in case you wanted to revisit the series when you travel from your living room to your bedroom while in quarantine. Welcome to the future!

Crysis remastered on Nintendo Switch will launch on July 23.
