Cristian Pache will start in left field for Braves against Nationals

We got the first news of today’s lineup from Cristian Pache, himself. The debutant outfielder stated in a press release that he would start this evening in left field and beat ninth in the lineup for the Braves. Even though this is not really a big surprise, as we have heard from people like Jon Morosi that Pache would start tonight, this is one of those rare occasions where a player hit everyone to the punch when it came to his position to be announced and lineup place on the day of the game.

Here’s the rest of Atlanta’s lineup:

Tyler Flowers will catch Kyle Wright tonight, and he will not be as high in the lineup as Travis d’Arnaud has been recently. Freddie is still in second place, Ozuna’s batting third as the DH and Ender Inciarte have moved from his usual place of ninth since Pache will ride there.

This is how the Nationals will roll this evening:

Kurt Suzuki is out of line, as he was replaced by Yan Gomes at catcher. In addition, Gomes will move from DH to catcher tonight and Eric Thames will replace him tonight as DH for Washington. Asdrubal Cabrera has moved to first base and Carter Kieboom will become the third baseman for the Nationals this evening.
