The Adams County Health Department reported five additional positive results from the COVID-19 tests on Sunday, bringing the county’s total to 81 positive test results.
There were 37 confirmed active cases in the county, as a multi-week surge continued on Sunday.
Of the 81 total positive test results, one person died and 43 people were listed as recovered, according to county health officials.
There are likely to be more unconfirmed cases, as health officials noted the spread of the community.
Health officials said Friday they were seeing an increase in respiratory symptoms among those seeking care.
They added that the Adams County COVID-19 panel will begin displaying new data that tracks respiratory symptoms among people accessing care through the community testing center.
