COVID-19 in Montana (Sunday, July 26)

GREAT FALLS – Health officials added 89 new COVID-19 cases to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map on Sunday, July 26.

Yellowstone County had the most new cases on Sunday with 29, followed by Flathead County with 16 new confirmed cases; Ravalli, 11; Gallatin, 8; Cascade, 5; Silver bow, 4; Lake, 3; Lewis and Clark, 3; Madison, 3; Lincoln, 2; Broadwater, 1; Carbon, 1; Jefferson, 1; Roosevelt, 1; Valley, 1.

The numbers reported by the state each day sometimes differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic delays in submitting data to the state. The data below is from Montana official website July 26:

• TOTAL CASES AND RECOVERIES: Montana Now Reports 3,342 cumulative cases statewide, with 2,079 People recovered.

• HOSPITALIZATIONS There are currently 62 hospitalized patients. Has been 199 hospitalizations for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

• ACTIVE CASES: The state reports that there is currently 1,217 active cases of COVID-19 in Montana.

• TESTS: The number of tests increased by 1,300 during the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new state cumulative total of 152,315.

• DEAD: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is 46.

CASCADA COUNTY: Cascade County reported five new cases on Sunday. There has been a cumulative total of 115 confirmed cases in Cascade County; Of these, 42 have recovered, 71 are currently active, and two patients have died. The City and County Health Department at Great Falls says the new cases are either attributed to community spread or have been found through contact tracing and that, as in previous cases, these people have been isolated and Contact investigations are ongoing.
