Country singer Hal Ketchum, a 17-time Billboard chart topper, dies at 67


Hell Ketchum died of complications arising from dementia. He was 67 years old.

News of the death of the country’s music star was shared with Ketchum fans in a post through the official Facebook account on Tuesday. The 17-time billboard chart-topper died Monday night, the statement said.

“With great sadness and grief we announce that Ham died peacefully at home yesterday due to complications of dementia,” wrote Hen Ketchum’s wife, Rendria Ketchum. “His music stays in your heart forever and gives you peace,” he wrote.

Andrea Ketchum announced in April 2019 that Hal Ketchum had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. According to the announcement, at the time, he was already suffering from a debilitating illness “for the last while”.

“But because of his love for his fans, he continued to perform as long as possible,” Andrea Ketchum wrote in a social media post. “Dementia is a debilitating and confusing illness and now it’s time to stay home with loved ones.”

Some of Ketchum’s best-known hits include “Long Haired Country Boy”, for which he received a Country Music Association Award nomination in 1997, and “Hearts Are Gone Roll”.

Kruner’s 1991 album “Past the Point of Rescue” from “Small Town Saturday Night” has also been awarded a Gold Certificate by the American Recording Industry Association. During his career, which began in 1980, Ketchum will release eleven studio albums – with its first release in 1986.

Ketchum’s latest releases were “Father’s Time” in 2008 and “I Trubadaur” in 2014.
