July 6th
The city limits COVID-19 testing: Beginning Monday, the City of San Antonio will implement a rule change to test COVID-19 at its city-operated test locations at no cost. These locations at Freeman Coliseum, Kazen Middle School, and Cuellar Community Center will now only screen residents who report symptoms of coronavirus.
July 5th
The highest death count in a single day since the pandemic began: The coronavirus continued to spread endlessly through the area on Sunday, as Bexar County reported 198 new cases and eight new deaths.
Among the deaths was a man, 19 years old or younger, making him the youngest victim in the city since the start of the pandemic. He had an underlying genetic disorder, the city said in a statement.
