Coronavirus Texas: HEB again limits the purchase of toilet paper and paper towels


The Texas HEB supermarket is limiting the amount of toilet paper and paper towels that people can buy once again.

The supermarket chain said that in an effort to make sure all customers have access to the products they need, HEB is limiting the purchase of a handful of products.

Each customer can only buy two packages of toilet paper or two individual packages of toilet paper. They are also only allowed to buy two rolls of paper towels.

These restrictions apply to all HEB stores.

Below is the full list of item restrictions as of June 27.

FOODS

NON-FOOD ITEMS

  • Bath Tissue Pack – Limit 2
  • Individual bath fabrics – limit 2
  • Acetaminophen: 2 items in total (includes over-the-counter baby, trial and travel sizes)
  • HEB / Famotidine and Pepcid Acid Controller 50ct and larger – Limit 1
  • HEB Acid Controller / Famotidine and Pepcid smaller than 50ct – Limit 2
  • Disinfecting and antibacterial sprays – 2 items
  • Disinfecting and antibacterial wipes – 2 items
  • Travel Size Antibacterial & Disinfecting Spray / Wipes – 2 Items
  • Hand sanitizer – 10 items
  • Hydrogen peroxide – 2 items
  • Rubbing (Isopropil) Alcohol / Swabs – 2 items
  • First aid and cleaning gloves – 2 items

The following product limits only apply to HEB stores in the border region:

  • Eggs, less than 30 counts – limit 4
  • Eggs, 30 counts or more – limit 2
