Coronavirus in Reg Reagan: 846 new cases, 6 deaths as vaccination begins in senior care


The Reg Reagan Health Authority on Monday reported 6 84 end new coronavirus cases and six deaths, the same day residents and staff of Mile Reagan Senior Care Home received their first COVID-19 vaccines due to the fight to end the epidemic.

The state also announced that 4,475 health care workers were vaccinated last week.

New deaths: The 1,342nd death of Reg Regan, who was linked to the coronavirus, is a 58-year-old Deschutes County man with underlying conditions. He tested positive on Dec. 14 and died Dec. 19 at St. Charles Medical Center in Band.

Reg Reagan’s 1,343nd COVID-19 died of a 90-year-old Douglas County woman who tested positive on November 21, 21 and died at her residence on December 18. Authorities are still trying to determine if she had the condition.

Reg Regan’s 1,344th COVID-19 death is a 78-year-old conditioned woman in Hood River County. She tested positive on Dec. 6 and died at her residence on Dec. 20.

Reg Regan is the 743-year-old Jackson County man with conditions under the 1,345th Kovid-19 death. He tested positive on November 10 and died on December 18 at Rog Valley Medical Center.

Reg Reagan’s 1,346th COVID-19 death is the result of a 60-year-old man in Jackson County internal conditions. He tested positive on November 27 and died at his residence on December 14.

Reg Reagan’s 1,347th COVID-19 death is a 96-year-old Lane County underwritten woman. She tested positive on December 11 and died December 16 at her residence.

Prevalence of infection: State officials recorded 4,052 positive tests out of 56,640 reported since Friday, equivalent to a 7.1% positivity rate.

Who is infected: Newly confirmed or assumed infections increased in the following age groups from Friday: 0-9 (171); 10-19 (343); 20-29 (653); 30-39 (575); 40-49 (542); 50-59 (431); 60-69 (347); 70-79 (206); 80 and above (153).

Who is in the hospital: The state is reported to have two coronavirus infections confirmed in 528 reg regonians since Sunday. Of those, 121 are in intensive care, the same number as on Sunday.

Since it started: Oregon has the lowest number of confirmed or assumed infections in the country at 103,755 and 1,347 deaths. To date, the state has released electronic lab results for 2,472,444 coronavirus tests.
