Infections The Reagan Health Authority received 1,290 new coronavirus cases and six deaths on Sunday as the infection is forecast to continue to grow.
That’s the smallest number of new Oregon cases filed since Thursday and falls below the 1,534 daily average for new cases reported the previous week. But the case count can be different every day and it can drop over the weekend.
Sunday’s number comes two days after Rego broke the record with 2,176 new confirmed or presumed cases. And 30 casualties were announced Friday by Fat Reagan government’s Kate Brown.
Coronavirus infections are expected to continue to grow.
Also on Friday, the state released new modeling that showed Oregon, in excellent condition, could see an average of 2,000 confirmed cases per day by Christmas Eve. If the spread of the virus accelerates, that number could rise to 2,700.
Health officials reported a slight decrease in the number of Oregonians admitted to hospital with coronavirus infection overnight. There were 546 patients with confirmed cases in state hospitals, a drop of 10 since Saturday. The state also said there are 113 coronavirus patients in intensive care units, five fewer than on Saturday.
The number of coronavirus hospital admissions is almost two times higher than a month ago.

New deaths:
The 1,028th victim is an 81-year-old woman from Kus County. She underwent a positive test on November 6 and died on November 24 at Bay Area Hospital. She had underlying conditions.
The 1,029th victim is a 62-year-old woman from Douglas County. She tested positive on November 13 and died on December 4 at Mercy Medical Center. The presence of internal conditions is being confirmed.
The 1,030th victim is an 89-year-old man in Marion County. He tested positive on November 26 and died at Salem Hospital on December 5. It had underlying conditions.
The 1,031st victim is an 86-year-old woman from Marion County. She tested positive on November 27 and died at Salem Hospital on December 2. She had underlying conditions.
The 1,032nd casualty is a 58-year-old man in Multnomah County. He Nov. Tested positive on Dec. 1 and died Dec. 5 at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. It had no underlying conditions.
The 1,033rd victim is an 87-year-old woman from Polk County. She tested positive on November 16 and died at her residence on December 2. She had underlying conditions.
Who is in the hospital: The state reports that 546 Oregonians with coronavirus confirmation are currently in hospital. The state also said there are 113 coronavirus patients in intensive care units.
Since it started: In Reg Reagan, 84,496 confirmed confirmed or suspected infections and the lowest death toll in the country was 1,033.
