Oregon’s new coronavirus case counts more than 300 daily deaths and deaths continue, with the Oregon Health Authority announcing 376 new cases and seven more deaths Saturday.
The state has now recorded 21,010 total coronavirus cases and 355 deaths.
Multnomah County reported 87 new confirmed and accepted cases, after reporting more than 100 new cases Friday. Washington County reported 56 new cases.
The figures come even when state health officials found a relative flatline in the spread of the disease, with each infected person infecting on average one other person. Today, Oregon Health Authority officials expect to see 1,000 new cases a day in August, although only a fraction of those would be identified.

New dead: The 349th death of Oregon linked to coronavirus is a 74-year-old man from Washington County with underlying medical conditions. He tested positive July 21 and died August 5.
The 350th death of Oregon is an 83-year-old Marion County man with underlying medical conditions. He tested positive June 17 and died July 19.
351st death of Oregon is a 47-year-old man in Umatilla County with underlying medical conditions. He died July 14th.
352nd Death of Oregon is a 77-year-old Clackamas County man with underlying health conditions. He tested positive June 8 and died July 28.
353. death of Oregon is an 80-year-old man from Deschutes County. He tested positive July 23 and died on August 7. Additional details of his death are yet to be confirmed, according to authorities.
354. death of Oregon is an 85-year-old man from Multnomah County. He tested positive August 6 and died August 7. Additional details of his death are yet to be confirmed, according to authorities.
The 355th death of Oregon is a 41-year-old man in Malheur County. He tested positive August 4 and died August 5. Additional details of his death are yet to be confirmed, according to authorities.
In Saturday’s release of coronavirus, the Oregon Health Authority provided additional information on Oregon’s 342nd death. He is an 80-year-old Jackson County man with underlying health conditions. He tested positive July 15 and died August 6.
