Coronavirus in Oregon: 267 new cases and 22 deaths



The Oregon Health Authority on Tuesday announced 267 new coronavirus cases and 22 deaths.

Where new cases are by county: Benton (3), Klamas Kamas Mus (28), Koos (3), Crock (2), Curry (5), Deschutes (15), Douglas (13), Harney (1), Jackson (18), Jefferson (2), Josephine (13), Klamath (7), Lake (2), Lane (12), Lincoln (3), Lynn (5), Marion (34), Multnomah (50), Poke (4), Tillmook (3), Umatila (18), Union (3), Vasco (1), Washington (20) and Yamahil (2).

Who died: The state has not yet released information on the 22 casualties reported on Tuesday.

Prevalence of infection: On Tuesday, out of 18,600 tests conducted in the state, 486 new positive tests were reported, equivalent to a 2.6% positivity rate.

Who is infected: Newly confirmed or assumed infections increased in the following age groups: 0-9 (7); 10-19 (31); 20-29 (51); 30-39 (47); 40-49 (37); 50-59 (45); 60-69 (25); 70-79 (12); 80 and older (7).

Who is in the hospital: The state has reported that 119 people have been hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19, one more than Monday’s figure. There were 25 Covid-19 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed, two more than the same care on Monday.

Vaccine administration: The state says it could not provide vaccination figures outlining how many first and second doses were administered across the state on Tuesday due to server outages. The state has warned that the next few days may be suspended due to outage. As of Tuesday, 1,731,755 doses have been delivered in the state. As of Monday figures, 1,346,090 doses were given.

Since it started: Reg Reagan has confirmed or assumed 160,050 people have been infected and 2,346 have died, the lowest per capita number in the country. To date, 3,989,307 lab reports have been reported from tests by the state.
