Coronavirus: Dr. Fauki says they will put money on Covid-19 by the end of 2020

Dr. Anthony Fawcett recently said he expects there to be a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the year. In fact, he would put money on it.

  • “I will still put my money in November / December,” Fawcett said Wednesday, according to CNN reports.

Researchers need to see if the test subjects are infected with about 150 coronaviruses before they can understand whether the vaccine is safe, Fauqi said, according to a New York Post report.

Waiting for those answers means the result can come at any time.

  • “It really depends on where the sites are and how many infections there are on the site,” Fawcett said. “So you can get your answer sooner, or you can get your answer a little later.”

Questions about the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine have popped up in recent months. It is not clear how many people will get the vaccine or whether people will trust it, even if it is approved by the government.

Fossey said in a recent interview with KHN that an independent board could be brought in to approve the vaccine.

  • “The data is so good right now that you can say it’s safe and effective,” Fawcett said.
  • “If you are making a decision about a vaccine, you can be sure that you have very good evidence that it is both safe and effective. I am not worried about political pressure. ”
