Taylor he recorded the solo effort with his band consisting of Jason Christopher on the bass Dustin Schoenhofer on the battery and Zach’s throne and Christian martucci (SOURCE STONE) on the guitar.

Corey saying Terry “Beez” Bezer from Knotfest.com “Mosh talks to Beez” on the LP: “It was something I was planning to do anyway next year when I hit the road with SLIPKNOTand obviously the best plans [were] just done and done [because of the coronavirus pandemic]. But I thought if it was time to do it, why not give it a try and do it? Me and my gang in quarantine. We distanced ourselves socially for about two weeks, including our producer, Jay Ruston, who I worked with and the people in the studio I filmed in, which was Kevin Churko‘s Hiding place [[[[Recording studio In Las Vegas].

“This was something we had been working on for a while,” he continued. “This was something I had written as [recently] like the last SLIPKNOT turns and as far back as … There’s a song here that goes back to when I was in high school, so it tells you how long I’ve been sitting on a bunch of this stuff. And they are things that I’ve had floating around and that don’t really fit with any of the bands. It just had a different energy and a different environment.

“As more people asked me if I was ever going to do something solo, I started saying, ‘Well, I know what it would sound like, because I have all these songs that really don’t have a home anywhere else.’ And behold, boom.

“We went in, we recorded 98 to 99 percent of the live music in the studio. The only thing we dubbed was the vocals and the piano and some acoustics. And we made 25 songs in two and a half weeks.”

Taylor said about the musical direction of “CMFT”: “It’s everything I wanted it to be. There are some SLADE in there there is Johnny Cash, there is something CHAINED ALICE. I mean, big backing vocals, fun rock, huge solos … huge alone It’s amazing. Actually, two years ago, I started teaching myself piano just to be able to record this song that I wrote for my wife, and I was able to play and record it. And it’s really good, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever written. “

Pressed on how a song he wrote in high school stands for so long without him recording it properly and releasing it until now, Corey He said: “I have kept almost all the idea books I’ve had since I started writing songs, since I was 15 or 16 years old. So I have things that date back to then, just sitting in boxes And once in a while, the great hoarder that I am, I will start going through things thinking that I am going to throw it away, and I [say to myself], ‘I can’t throw that away because maybe this will be a song someday.’ And lo and behold, I kept finding this notebook that had the first verse, at least the first verse and the beginning of the second, from [a song that ended up on the record]. I always remembered how it would start and thought, ‘Where would we go from there?’ And it was actually the first song that I actually put together for this. I finally finished it, after 30 years I finally finished this song. And he’s a murderer. There’s a riff that feels almost like PANTHER in a way but then there’s this general atmosphere of CHARLIE DANIELS ‘BANDwhich is really cool. So it’s a motor, man, and it’s very, very good. “

Speaking of the first two singles on the LP, Corey He said, “The overall vibe on this album is fun, it’s party. You put it on when you want to feel good. So there are actually two songs we’re releasing at the same time. There’s one that’s the general breaker single – really cool, big chorus. Great atmosphere … And then there’s another one that’s just as fun on the other end of the spectrum that people will hear and lose their minds about.

“The way I’ve been looking at it is like a futuristic throwback,” he explained. “Everything on this album is a hybrid of all these different genres that I’m really into. It’s a modern take on the vibes that people have heard before, and yet I’ve taken them and thrown them through this crazy filter to see what we get. Everyone who hears it is impressed, so I’m very, very excited. “
