Here it is … video president President Toronto Raptors Masai Ujiri was FIRST SOLD in an altercation with a deputy sheriff’s deputy during the 2019 NBA Finals.
It is shocking footage to see the claims made by the deputy who portrayed Ujiri as the main aggressor in an incident that left him with multiple injuries.
Recall, a spokeswoman for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Dept. initially claimed they would strive for criminal charges against Ujiri for suspecting the deputies in the moments after the Raptors won the title over the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
Ujiri had denied traffic – but the substitute was adamant that the NBA honcho criminal battery started on a lawmaker.
Now, new bodycam footage shows just how things went downhill – and it seems like the cop overreacted in a dangerous way.
The footage shows Ujiri trying to pull his references in a peaceful, non-threatening way, but the substitute freaked out and laid his hands on Masai !!!
You can hear the deputy, Alan Strickland, Ujiri tells “the f * ck up” while shaking him in the chest.
Strickland pushed Ujiri again – this time with both hands and with very aggressive force.
Ujiri replies, “Why did you push me? I’m the president of the Raptors.”
That’s when Ujiri responds by moving back to the officer, but at that point … what else should he do? He felt like he was being attacked!?!
And, do not forget this part … Strickland filed a federal lawsuit against Ujiri, the Raptors and the NBA back in February who claimed he had serious injuries to his teeth, head, jaw and chin.
And, remember, officials first said deputies claimed the altercation began because Ujiri did not have the correct references – but the video blows that whole argument out of the water.
Ujiri Police told KTVU the video proves that substitute Alan Strickland “undoubtedly the initial aggressor.”
Good luck arguing against that after watching the video.
