State Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) announced Thursday that two right-wing activists with a history of hawks and misinformation have been indicted in Mixgan in an attempt to suppress the vote using RoboCols.
Nessel’s office charged Jacob Wahl and Jack Berkman with intimidating voters, conspiring to violate election law, using computers to intimidate voters, and using computers to conspire.
The attorney general’s office said two target voters in heavily democratic urban areas, such as Detroit, are using robotics to prevent residents from voting in the November election.
Wohl is a resident of Los Angeles while Berkman is a resident of Arlington, Va .; Nessel’s office fee said it was not yet clear whether he would need to be formally extradited to Michigan.
His office said the Torne general spoke with the attorney generals of Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania and New York and all reported similar robotics, targeting most of the minority areas as well.
“Any attempt to interfere, intimidate or deliberately mislead Michigan voters could have immediate and serious consequences,” Nessel said. “This effort was aimed at preventing minority voters from voting in the November elections,” he said. We are all well aware of the frustrations caused by the millions of nuisance robots that fill our cellphones and landlines every day, but this particular message has serious consequences for our democracy and its principles. Michigan voters are entitled to full, free and fair elections in November and my office fees do not hesitate to put those who put this at risk. “
