Talking about her scene in “The Undoing” opposite Hugh Grant, in which she played the role of a journalist interviewing Grant’s character to investigate the journalist’s murder, he said he gave Grant some tips.
“It all looked ruined when Hugh Grant sat down.” “He’s one of those British Rumpled Fellows. And his tie was asked, and I’m very OCD. So, I said, ‘Hugh, straighten your tie.’ And he goes and fixes it and and then a caller was out of his suit … and I went, ‘Hugh, fix it.’ And then he looked like Road’s Dangerfield. He should sit on the back of your jacket as much as he likes in ‘Broadcast News’, so that he’s nice and tidy. ”
She also said she believes she heard but didn’t see much in her scene as she rewrote parts of the dialogue.
