The “wipeout” contestant has died after being hospitalized after going on a course of obstruction … TMZ has learned.
Production sources tell TMZ … A male competitor needed medical attention on Wednesday after completing the course, and that was done by on-site emergency personnel, then called paramedics.
We are told that the contestant was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Our law enforcement source told us they received a call for a cardiac arrest just before noon on Wednesday, and doctors on set began using a defibrillator on a competitor experiencing chest pain after completing the course.
We are told there is caution and safety in place on set. For example, every ‘wipeout’ contestant undergoes medical examinations before taking part. There are also 2 paramedics ics non-site, plus safety maker and paramedic coordinator.
